Ana has held the role of Senior Associate since 2018 and her promotion will be effective as of 1 May 2022.
A key member of the legal team, Ana focuses her practice on general corporate and commercial law matters. She is involved in researching and analysing domestic laws and regulations, negotiating clearance for acquisitions, mergers, and joint ventures, conducting due diligence and drafting legal documents. Ana further advises clients in litigation and international arbitration. She has experience in issuing legal opinions and various legal memoranda on Georgian regulatory framework and within the context of local and international capital markets transactions.
On the verge of graduating from law school in 2013, Ana joined the Dechert LLP’s Tbilisi office as an intern and rose through the ranks gradually, becoming an associate and a qualified civil law attorney in Georgia. After several years of practice Ana left Dechert to continue her studies at University of Cambridge where she successfully completed her Master’s degree in Corporate Law. Upon her return to Georgia in 2018 Ana rejoined her team that remained with MG Law after leaving Dechert several months earlier. Since their exit from Dechert LLP, MG Law has been continuously placed by Legal 500 in Tier 1 firms for Commercial, Corporate and M&A and for Dispute Resolution. Alongside the firm’s success in its 2020, 2021 and 2022 Europe, Middle East and Africa editions Ana has been distinguished by Legal 500 as a “rising star”. This is an important indicator that through her work Ana has gained continuous recognition and trust of the clients.
