As part of its pro bono initiative, MG Law Office is happy to announce the start of its cooperation with Fair Trees Fund, which is a fund dedicated to improving the living standards locally in Georgia. We at MG Law Office undertake our social responsibility to give back to the community in which we live and work through our pro bono projects. We are grateful to have the opportunity to cooperate with the Fair Trees Fund and to assist them in their mission to improve the living and working conditions of the Georgian cone pickers.

The Fair Trees Fund supports development of the conditions for cone pickers and locals in the Racha region in Georgia, focusing on health, education,  nvironment and safety. We are excited to contribute to this endeavor and to that end we will commit our resources to provide the Fair Trees Fund with full-scale legal services relating to their charitable activities on pro bono basis.

Fair Trees Fund is part of Fair Trees. The Fair Trees brand was developed under the international business concept of Fair Trade and 10 essential international Fair Trade principles which stands for “fair for people”, “fair for the environment” and “fair price”. It is a Danish company which harvests seeds in Georgia for the production of Christmas trees. For this purpose company employs Georgian cone pickers. Each Fair Trees cone picker receives work and health insurance for themselves and health insurance for their families. The price of Fair Seeds and Fair Trees Christmas trees includes a fixed amount that is donated to social projects in Georgia. The Fair Trees Fund manages the donations and cooperates with private companies that support the work of the fund in Georgia. We are hopeful that our contribution will prove to be beneficial to Fair Trees Fund and to larger community.
